So This week Apple iPhone 7 rumours are rife. Apparently bearing a very striking resemblance in both appearance and size to the 6S but with an edge-to-edge screen! If rumours are true the new iPhone 7 is jam packed with bluetooth and wireless technology meaning there will be more pressure than ever on the battery and likely the shortest battery life of any iPhone to date!
RELEASE DATE: Still officially TBA but we suspect September 2016
We've summarised what's new in the iPhone 7:
Deep Blue Colour
Space grey colour is dropped to make way for a new stunning deep blue colour!
Newest prototypes released seem to show quad speakers which will be awesome for sound quality and volume but maybe not so great for battery life...
Headphone Jack Removed
If rumour is true all sound will now come from the bluetooth port or the lightening port. The headphone jack port will be completely removed.
From the7.1mm-thick iPhone 6S; Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities reckons it'll be dropping to between 6mm and 6.5mm thick. That sounds unnecessarily slim to us, especially as it could cause the battery life to take a hit.
Have Apple finally addressed the water resistance issue in the new iPhone 7? Rumour says so...
With an even sharper screen and edge-to-edge display it's following in Samsung's footsteps. It also seems Apple are looking to take things one step further in edge-to-edge in future models. News just in that apple also just got the patent for a wraparound screen which we're sure to see in the iPhone 8 onwards! Exciting stuff.
Look out for our new Phoenix for iPhone 7...
